The Four Major Study Areas on Holistic Approach
in the Project
As Maruchi announced before, He was unexpectedly exposed to SARS
epidemics in Beijing last month. This experience should be however
a good subject matter for holistic approach from the viewpoint of
human centeredness.
By chance, he was notified through an internet system in Japan
that e-symposium on SARS epidemics would be organized on May 20,
2003 for which we were requested to submit two pages of abstract
for presentation. In order to meet the above procedure, they said
that May 5, 2004 should be the deadline of submission for the abstract.
So he had a hard work for the preparation of abstract And finally
he submitted the abstract to the secretariat of the symposium.
This exercise was also very good for the visualization of our
preparation of study proposal to Toyota Foundation. SARS epidemics
was subject matters for the discussion on the feasibility study
of similar community surveillance system such as AIDS prevention
and control, mental health and welfare system, health promotion
system and so on from the viewpoint of self control in human settlement.
